Applications for the above positions are now being accepted and must be made through the Central Office.

Applicants must have a valid Alabama's Teacher's Certificate with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the position and meet the appropriate Highly Qualified Standards. The Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) must have completed ARI training. The school reading coach should have a minimum of three years' teaching experience. Applicants should exhibit strong interpersonal skills and commit to continued professional growth.

No applicant will be employed without a formal application on file and a personal interview. Applicants already employed by the Houston County Board of Education must submit a letter indicating interest in the position.
